Additional Functionality for Pegasus

Your daily tasks could be made more simple and daily routines speeded up by making use of some of the additional functionality available for Pegasus.

These include:

  • MicroPeg

  • Mini Sell Interface

  • Trial Kitting

  • Mass Stock Deletion

  • Stock Matrix Processing

  • Opera Customer Search

  • Payroll History Report

  • Rapid Entry for Payroll Quick Pay

MicroPeg

The MicroPeg for Opera II or Opera 3 module is designed to integrate Sales Order Processing and Purchase Order Processing from a variety of ERP solutions with the Pegasus Opera II or Opera 3 Sales and Purchase ledgers by importing invoices and credit notes, and exporting customer and supplier details. This is available for Micross, Omnis, JobBOSS, MfW, Smart Vision, and Alliance Mfg. plus many other formats.

Pegasus Opera II or Opera 3 financials are updated with information provided by the chosen ERP Sales Order and Purchase Order Processing systems. The link will also draw details of customer and supplier information from the ledgers, together with all the parameter settings. Likewise, the Nominal ledger is interrogated with regards to the existence of specified nominal accounts through the Sales and Purchase codes. Other tables such as VAT rates, currencies, and country codes are checked and translated to ensure complete verification and data integrity during the transfer.

Mini Sell Interface

MiniSell™ from Aspin Management Systems Ltd provides a highly functional modular system for mobile sales force automation. Orders can be collected at customer sites or exhibitions using a standard PDA utilising Pocket PC 2003, or Windows Mobile 5. The upload and download of information is handled via the internet, directly communicating with the handheld device, providing low cost and reliable communication.

The main functionality of MiniSell II includes:

  • Maintains additional information in Opera II or Opera 3 for reps and territories

  • Maintains additional product group and stock information in Opera II or Opera 3 required by MiniSell

  • Provides an export of the latest Opera II or Opera 3 stock information to the PDA’s

  • Import of orders taken on the PDA’s into Opera II or Opera 3 SOP for approval and progressing

Trial Kitting

This supplements the Opera II or Opera 3 Bill of Materials module to provide a number of reports from the explosion of stock assemblies. The user is provided with a single point of entry which can be populated either manually, from outstanding sales/works orders, or from a CSV file that has been created from either a previous trial kitting or from some other source e.g. Excel spreadsheet.

The system provides 3 main report designs as standard:

  • Exploded Requirements – shows an indented requirements for each BOM structure

  • Consolidated Requirements – shows total requirements for each item with shortages

  • Trail Kitting – shows assembly and component requirements

Mass Stock Deletion

The Mass Stock Deletion utility for Opera II or Opera 3 module is designed to allow the removal of unwanted stock items, even though sales history records exist. The inclusion or otherwise is determined by the setting of a flag on each stock record, plus a setting at run-time that checks for any stock transactions newer than a selected date. The stock record will not be deleted if either of the criteria fails.

All stock items that pass the criteria will be deleted from the main stock record and the linked warehouses, and will also be removed from sales history and supplier product details for purchase orders.

Stock Matrix Processing

Stock Matrix processing for Opera II or Opera 3 allows for the definition and control of multi-dimensional stock items quickly and easily. Stock Matrix is ideal for combination stock such as clothing colour, style, size etc.

Opera Customer Search

The Customer Search program is a stand-alone executable program that runs externally to Pegasus Opera II or Opera 3. This program allows users to quickly locate customer contact details without needing to logon to Opera. Customer details may be stored into a local table so that a permanent connection to Opera is not required, this makes the product particularly suitable for installation onto laptops etc. Enter the details......... and browse the results

Payroll History Report Feature

This feature extends the standard Opera II Payroll History function by providing a complete history of payroll totals without being cleared down every 99 periods. In addition, all payments and deductions that make up the total are also stored. This allows users to store, and analyse, several years worth of payroll information down to payment and deduction level.

Rapid Entry for Payroll

The user just selects the range of employees and then can enter each value quickly without having to tab through all the other payments that normally appear for the employees.Functionality such as adding a payment code to an employee, or setting the current period to zero, are also available from inside QuickPay

Quick Pay

This module is designed to improve the speed of users entering Payments and Deductions inside the Pegasus Opera II or Opera 3 Payroll module.

This function differs from the Opera II or Opera 3 Payments and Deductions screen as it allows the user to select a range of Employees, or Department of Employees from within a Payroll Group, and then specific Payment or Deduction codes to enter.Aged Debtors/Creditors by due date for Opera II or Opera 3.

An additional report option is provided in the Sales Ledger and the Purchase Ledger to create Debtors reports based on transaction due dates and Creditors reports based on due dates. A dialog is provided where the user may select criteria to generate the report.

The user may select any combination of the following...

  • For debtors reports the user may group the report by account, region, territory or customer type. For creditors reports the user may group the report by account or supplier type.

  • Select a range of sales or purchase ledger accounts for the report.

  • Select a range of transaction dates, this will limit the aging calculation to those transactions that have a transaction date on or between the dates selected by the user.

  • Select accounts whose total debt is a specified value above zero or above the account credit limit.

  • Produce a detailed report by showing the transactions.

  • Produce the report based on either due date or transaction date
